If the weather were better, today would have been a great day at L&D14. Gotta make what you can of the cloudy skies.

2/15/2014 plenty of birds and action... Of course it helped that there were guys throwing fish out there for the eagles to snatch up.

How were the numbers this weekend? There was enough action at Rock river so I never made the trip.

I was there on Sunday 2/16, probably 50 eagles in the area, sporadic feeding. The fish tosser was around and that helped - we donated to his cause.

There was a group of 7 of us there, we all got a few good shots.

L&D 15 was no good, neither was Credit Island.

All great photos in this thread love all the images. Specially when the Eagle got a fish. But I am curious. What is fish tosser cause that some people are donating money? I am not against and I really don't care in fact I am planning to go there next year because the pictures here are really impressive.

Someone just baiting eagles with dead fish that takes donations to buy the fish. I personally don't think it helps or harms. I went once when the eagles weren't around last year and saw a bunch of dead fish. The thought was they were getting stunned and going belly up from the dam. Then the dead bodies eventually floats near the shore where the photographers stand. That bait'er is just adding to the dead population of fish there.

Some people bring fish to throw out for the eagles to catch. It helps get the eagles active. The donations are for the costs associated with getting the fish. We donate every year for the fish.

Really slow day today, no action until 4pm. I think we are near the end of the season at L&D 14
