These shots were taken on the Snake river near Jackson, on a cold bright morning. We had taken some shots of the Grand Tetons from Oxbow bend viewpoint.

and then went on to see the river lined with trees covered in ice.

Next some shots of Tangle Creek in Yellowstone in similar conditions.

Hope you like them and thank you for looking.

Hi Gordon, no I didn't do the snowmobiles. We had 2 days in a snow coach, the driver being a photographer, so we saw the good sites.

MonteMiles: lens was 24-105 mostly. Did use a 100-400 at the shorter settings for some shots, but not these I believe.

Thank you for your kind comments, they are appreciated.

Becky

I agree, that the last one stands out from the bunch...Although, you captured some nice glow on the mountain peaks, in the first one.

Beautiful series. Such a wonderful place.

- I discovered I scream the same way whether I'm about to be devoured by a great white shark or if a piece of seaweed touches my foot.

Really great work. You're a brave soul in that weather. I was in that area last summer and it was only just above freezing in the mornings.
