Here's a couple more NHRA shots.

Light sucked while the TF cars were running(well pretty much all day from the east side of the track), I'm not very happy with what I got. Even toward the end when the sun was peaking through the clouds all it did was light up all the smoke in the air and make this hazy. This full over cast.

Even at this time when the alcohol cars were running and front/back light I like them better.

I am impressed. I can never shoot with sunglasses on.

Not only that, but check out Butchie rocking the black gloves. All professional looking and stuff...

The only time sunglasses give me a problem is when they fog up(either from my breath when it's cold or because I'm sweaty from hiking to a new shooting location).

When I went to Bryce/Grand Canyon in Feb last year I had to wear my mountain/MX gloves becasue it was 10° out. They worked pretty well since I could still operate the controls well and would keep my hands in my pockets when not shooting.

That is some impressive house lights. :D Great photo, Butchie.

House lights actually sucked ass, Julian... They had some stupid orange cast going on... So I had to reduce that color by 75% to get the colors right... But thanks for the comment!!! Hehehehe...

Yeah, I love shooting the launches on the sportsman classes like those, sucks that I only went on Sun because they didn't run much(the finals was all I saw-I think they ran semi finals while we were getting lunch). A few years ago there was so much rain delays that they did get run much if at all until after the pro classes got done on Sun, unfortunately I was on the east side of the track and to lazy to go over tot he west side where the lights are.

I'm going to try and go on Thur and Fri for the finals in Nov this year so I can shoot them more and try to get my engine blow(assuming one happens) up on Fri night's finally qualifying round that missed this year(still a bit bummed about that, that big yellow Napa logo on the blue body would have looked sweet light up by all the flames).

Sure there were gear whores, like myself, but for the most part we were humble and shared our experiences with our tools (filters, lenses, etc.)...

?!

...I sure hope you didn't feel that my last comment was directly aimed at you, it's a crap shoot every time I join a meet up group! different levels of shooters, some humble some not so much but I enjoy meeting people nonetheless!!!

cheers
