So last night I was poking around on my phone and came across a free magazine in the App Store, Extraordinary Vision (external link). Thought I'd share it here. There were a lot of great reviews, so for the heck of it I loaded it up.

Very nice. Articles are well written and imagery is top notch. Also, lot's of tips and tutorials, but not on the cheesy level "How to Take Great Vacation Photos" or "How to Make Your 110 Year Old Grandmother Look 20". It's really well put together. The GUI could use a little work getting from place to place, but it's a start.

I usually don't believe anything's free and I did have to sign up and what-not, but seems legit so far. I did take a few screens where it states that it's a free subscription for my own insurance just in case.

Since you took a screen shot for insurance purposes, does that mean the sign up required a credit card number?

No, they just asked for email and name which I could have faked. The point of concern was that I bought it through the App Store which does have my credit info, so just in case.

I really enjoy EV Mag. A new issue comes out twice a month. It is also available for Android. It is $1.99 per month now but there is a 30-day trial (external link) if you want to give it a try risk free.

I do not work for EV Mag but I contributed to issue 52 with "Drawing on Light."
