Thanks DM!

Was on the way home from a ride today and saw some kite surfers on our local lake. Heavily cropped image but I'm still happy with it.

From a recent photo shoot at 11 PM. Long exposures. purposed underexposed for the shadows/highlights to show the curves of the car. only lighting was moonlight.

How good of image stabilization function performance of this lens? Not worse than the very expensive Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II?

The owner of my favourite camera store said : "now all used copies of 70-200mm f/2.8 l is usm are older than (or equal to) 4 years; and many copies are 7-8 years old". Can a 6-8 years old lens be still good?

Yes. My 70-200 f/2.8L was designed in 1996. I'm not sure when it was made, but I love it, it's not even the IS. No desire whatsoever to upgrade to IS or IS ii.

This lens will be a good choice for people who don't have enough money to buy the IS II? (THis lens's not so expensive and still has IS feature)
