there are numerous people in this thread stating they would send it back. The OP didn't ask any questions that we can honestly answer (how can i tell him if the chip will matter) I just know I would not want that lens for 1300. with a damaged rear element like that, I would expect a very large discount, not a couple hundred dollars. I've seen them sell for 1600 in excellent condition.

Thats why it was rated a bargain. If it were like new or excellent then you would have paid that price and you would really have a gripe. But any bargain equipment is listed and priced that way for a reason. If it's to good to be true, it usually is.
