not sure if any other photogs in here are into Instagram, but ill give it a try!

also quick trick for posting without sacrificing quality, upload to your flickr, click on more sizes, full resolution, save that to your iphone and post...itll be sharp as a tac!

Another "trick" if you will for instagram, if you want the get a full image, say a landscape, there is an app called "cropic". It creates a letterbox version of the pic so the whole shot fits in the square format.

The basic functions of the app are free but there are some annoying pop ups wanting you to upgrade to the full version for $1.99. Worth it IMO if you plan on uploading a lot.

There is a similar app called Squaready. The free one does what you're talking about, and there's also a paid Pro version.
