I just noticed you have some Zeiss lenses. David Arbogast, a member here tested this on his Zeiss lenses and apparently, it didn't work.

I thought I'd give you a heads up.

Damnit, Sony had to start a bundle deal and now I'm really thinking about getting this camera. I was going to wait for the next generation, but the deal with $650 off the camera, lens and flash bundle is really tempting!

Muhaha, yes indeed. And besides, the next generation is likely 2 - 3 years away.

By the way. As a fellow owner of the 5D3, I say: get the A7R now! You will not regret it. The 5D3 is awesome for AF and ultra high ISO. But for the rest, A7R all the way.

Do you use your EF lenses on the A7R?
If you do, what adapter do you use and what is the AF like when you shoot in manual?

Just a heads up.

For those interested in buying brand new a7R, 35mm, 55mm, or flash, please PM me. I am selling them at a very competitive price. They were all purchased directly from Sony. Thanks.

Yes I use my EF-lenses with the Metabones Smart Adapter MK III.

The AF works on my EF-lenses and is very accurate, but it is also very very slow. I can not recommend it for sports photography.

Manual focus is super easy and fun to use thanks to focus peeking and focus magnify.

Joon. It's been only a week since you said:

Sony a7R is one heck of a beast. I think I'm going to sell the EOS M pretty soon. Until Canon comes out with a FF mirrorless (possibly with a better sensor than Sony), I'll be thoroughly enjoying the a7R.. :D

What made you change your mind so fast?

I am just curious. :)

I already have one for myself ;)

I have recently found out from my friend that I can get a good deal directly from Sony. So, I bought a few more (camera, lenses, etc..) and now just trying to share my good deals with fellow POTN and FM members.

I have decided to upgrade to an a7R! ;)

While I have both a7 and a7R at the same time, it's going to be interesting comparing and contrasting the two cameras.
