Sirrith Cream of the Crop More info | Feb 21, 2014 17:27 | #17 angelIV wrote in post #16706960 ![]() Thank you guys, I have been looking for pre owned legs, found a manfrotto 3221wn, researching if it's ok. That was the old set of legs that the 055XB replaced. It is lower end compared to the 055XPROB. If you're going used, you should be able to find the 055XPROB within your budget, so I'd hold out for that one over the 3221wn. -Tom

It's the predecessor to the Manfrotto 055 suggested above. It's a good one. Jon

Feb 21, 2014 21:59 | #21 The Bogan 3221 IS the Manfrotto 055PRO. It's not an earlier, lesser model. I have one of each and the Manfrotto is a little older and also has the Bogan name and model number. The tripod has changed a little over the years and there are some different versions available, but it has been essentially the same for about 40 years whether the name on it was Bogan or Manfrotto. Feb 24, 2014 15:57 | #22 Thank you for all the inputs finally I ordered the 190xpro. Now if i may just ask one more question I can't seem to find any answer in the web, will a sirui g20 head fit in the manfrotto? The sirui has a 1/4 while manfrotto has 3/4? Gear list: 7d, 50d, xti, EOS 66 film, Canon FTB,sigma 18-35 1.8 art len, EF 24-105L, 70-200f4. Manfrotto 190xpro, sirui g20x. BR metro.

Are you sure the Sirui has 1/4" threads? I think that refers to the screw attaching the quick release to the ball, not the ballhead mount. If it really was only 1/4", it would not be able to fit on standard 3/8" tripods. -Tom

There's no easy way to say this, but the fact is that a good tripod and head is not going to be cheap. Richard
