i don't do e-bay..just craigs list

A lot of people say this on PTON. Understandably.
Perhaps with luck I haven't had any troubles. Keen to see the profile of this person so I can think through 'what would I have done', 'would I have been caught out'. Likely the answers are 'the same' and 'yes'.
Craig's List isn't for me ==> the US may be centre of the world but some of its good stuff hasn't made it to the dark ends of the earth. Really want to stream video and audio like you guys! Eg NetFlix. Give me some.

Cheers

Did you give him feedback or did he give you feedback? That is posted publicly, so maybe you could direct us to the page showing the feedback (which I presume would be negative) and we would be able to tell from that (if you are not comfortable posting the user name).

Regarding Craigslist~ have bought a few things there but never sold anything. Have given stuff away using Freecycle, though.

but if scammers get their money back, there's no sale and eBay gets no cut, right?

I don't know how that works. In one of last 2 buys there I had to return a crappy filter that was grossly misrepresented by the seller, in the description and in the email he/she sent me when I asked if it had any defects in the glass. It cost me $4 to return it, that's $4 I didn't get back. It's a crappy place to shop these days. I'm avoiding EBay.

A new trick I have seen recently on Ebay is one created by a competitor seller. If this kind of seller find you are a potential competitor, will buy something from you, knowing the system well, will screw you to the point there is no way for you to continue with all kind of nasty tactics.
Ebay only thinks of its own commission and to make more income. They have enough seller, they need Buyers.
Ebay has turned into a DANGEROUS place.
