It depends on the aperture setting. If it is wide open due to minimal light (like f2.8 or f5.6) then you have t decide was is the most important element that you want in focus. If you have a tripod or able to support the camera on a bench/table and can choose a smaller aperture (f12 and smaller) then you get more in focus.
