She is, is'nt she?
Well in combo with our lens and she being only about 4-5 feet away this is what we will get. :)

Just in case anyone is wondering - she is a wild owl. Will probably be going back north soon.

She was almost too close to focus for this lens, right?

I've been working on my birds in flight skills. I've come to a few conclusions. Foremost? I have a long way to go. But I am having lots of fun with very little frustration. That's something new for me. ;)

Lovely shot!

I lovw mine too though it may be on its way out...I've a Tamron 150-600 coming and if it's anywhere near as good as the 70-300L at its short end then I think I'm going to pick up a Sigma 50-150mm to cover iff the short end.

I know I'll miss it!

Tyler. I think this is a great picture, pose, and equally good looking lady.

I'm intrigued as to why you used this lens with that impressive selection of primes that you have? Presumably just for flexibility during the shoot? I'm trying to get into people photography more and plan to use this lens a bit. From what I can tell as long as you've got a reasonable distance between subject and background, this lens is a great option for portrait shots?
