The local gun store/range has these nice stands that put a thin shaft of metal down the barrel. Not really sure I liek that for photos; I'd rather prop the gun on it's side with something than thru the barrel. Thx for the ideas. I'll keep looking.

You know what I think would work really well? Kydex. Custom make a little bracket that can hold the gun perfectly. Kydex is really easy to work with if you have a heat gun and since you design the bracket to hide behind the gun, it doesn't even have to look good.

new 7D for me.

for some reason, these don't appear as sharp to me after I loaded them into Smugmug. They look razor sharp in LightRoom.
