The local gun store/range has these nice stands that put a thin shaft of metal down the barrel. Not really sure I liek that for photos; I'd rather prop the gun on it's side with something than thru the barrel. Thx for the ideas. I'll keep looking.

Kydex is really easy to work with if you have a heat gun and since you design the bracket to hide behind the gun, it doesn't even have to look good.
