QUOTED IMAGE

At work, so this is copied from my Facebook...

I ran to Walgreens to get cough syrup & drops, so I decided to swing by this church behind the Lower Burrell McDonald's to get a pic. I pulled up and parked right on the street in front of the church, got out and set up my tripod on the street/curb. All of a sudden, the lady in the house across the street starts banging on her living room window. I glanced over and she was flailing her arms about. I turned back around and was focusing my camera when she really started banging louder & louder. I just ignored her and started shooting. Now, I know a few days ago someone was shooting a gun in the middle of the night, but hey, it's 9:00, and I'm not doing anything wrong. Just as I expected, the cops roll up...FIVE CARS!! The one walks up to me and asks what I'm doing, to which I reply "Taking long exposure pics of the church". he said he got a call that two guys were breaking into the church, and where is my buddy. As I proceed to tell him that it's just me shooting, I have to show my ID, and tell him I knew they would be coming, but 1, I wasn't doing anything wrong, and 2, if I left, I'd look like I did something wrong. i said 'why would I be standing here, in the street, with $2K worth of camera equipment if I was doing anything?'. I told him about the night pics i take, and even showed him some on my phone. Just then the lady comes out of her house, running into the street, screaming and waving her arms. She said I pulled up, banged on her window, then started taking pics...to which her neighbor said "Yeah, I heard someone banging on the window!". I told them it was her trying to get me to leave or something. the cop said 'pack it up & leave', so I sat in my truck because the street was blocked off from all of the cop cars. The cop was in the lady's yard talking to her, then walks up to me and says "I think you're lying to me, everyone heard you banging on the window.". I pleaded my case for another 10 minutes or so, to which he finally said "Well, get out of here...I have your info if we need it.". I left, but man, what a bum deal.

So, in your city, the cops believe that when burglars arrive at the scene of their intended crime, they make as much noise as possible to alert the neighbors, and when they unpack their burglar tools, the first item out of the bag is a tripod?

For the sake of civic peace, I do hope that your local burglars are dumber than your local police force.

Hard gray things

Wow, I can't imagine what it is like to live with that type of fear.
