If I had the video skills... a short, entitled, "Lisa, the instigator..."

1) Fade from black, with a soft "Dooo Ettttt, Doooo Etttt" voice in the background.
2) Me opening up a new 70-300L, wife looks on disapprovingly. I simply say "Lisa..."
3) Cut to Vinz, opening 135/2L box, wife looks on, shakes head. "Lisa...."
4) Cut to Russ, opening 70D box, wife looks on, arched eyebrow. "Lisa... want a D7100?"
5) Cut to CJ, opening an EOS-M box, girlfriend looks on, "what, another camera?" "Lisa..."

The 70-300L is yummy yummy.

So, our travel plans have changed, we are outta here tomorrow to try to beat Snowmageddon 18 for this year, we were set to leave Monday but that seems to be a potentially bad plan. Cost us a decent lens to change our plans, but oh well two more days of vacation isn't bad. I have the camera all packed and ready to go.

this is my firs test with Color Checker Passport. Considering that all my walls are orange, i think the color is really accurate. Lit with my speedlight octodome modifier(firefly).

I have a color checker and very rarely use it. It has given me some funky results and I have also found that I process my photos too much after the fact and an accurate image really isn't what I'm after. I now use it for photographing art work to be re-printed.

I'd rather have accurate color image as my starting point. Then apply whatever color style that i want for the set.

Is your funky results are with skin tones? Paul will never shoot in his studio without color checker and i can see why. Less PP time is money.

I know what you mean Corey as I quite often apply a tint or split tone but I like to start off with an accurate base so it helps.
We had the norther lights over the uk in the week, I stayed up and they didn't show in my area gutted one day I will see them.

Wow drew I know nothing about basket ball but at a guess I would think shooting the Harlem globetrotters is pretty mega. Well done great shots as well.
