+2 off to a good start buddy.

Thanks for your comments!

Now I dare to reveal a few more photos. Every of these were photographed for Aalef Magazine. Our theme was different sports and b&w.

Thank you and other again!

I used a 35mm lens, Nikon sb28 and a reflector umbrella. The flash was near a roof on the right side of the camera and it was set almost minimum power. Ask me if you don´t understand.

No, that makes sense. I could tell you used some sort of modifier, but it was not as soft as something like a big softbox--kinda between hard/soft, and it just worked so, so well.

So you bounced it rather than shot through the umbrella? Very nice, and perfect for the subjects.

I broke my through umbrella earlier. I haven´t bought a new umbrella yet. Now I have to use only the reflector umbrella. On the these pictures light was bounced from the reflector.

No where to really shoot when it's raining so I shot around the house (and just outside):

I think the lighting makes it appear as if the subjects are just coming under the lightfall of one of the regular ceiling lights (as can be seen in the pattern on the wall behind them), and not that the photog put a flash up and popped the picture. IOW, excellent disguising of flash as available light.

Wow, nice observation, that is absolutely true. I love those shots.
