I spent a lot of time this weekend shooting when it was windy. Didn't get any great pictures but it was a lot of fun. Out of the bunch I thought these two had an interesting composition. Thoughts/comments welcome.

I like them both, but the first one is my favorite. Not a typical bird in flight shot. It's usually dumb luck when I get one of these little birds in flight!

Thanks Sandy. The wind helped a lot. They were making their way to the feeder and in fighting the wind were almost suspended in flight. Gave me that extra split second to get a shot I otherwise would not have gotten.

Wind directions also important as they take off into the wind, so if the light allows you always position upwind from the bird you are trying capture
