I'm sorry I dont follow. Are you saying you are fine with filters on all your other lenses because they are all the same and for this one you haven't been able to get the right adapter?

I'd love to used the Lee Big Stopper on this lens, but I can't see anyone who has come up with the answer yet

TIA

First, the filters are filters, same on all lenses.

Second, i don't have this lens, so i am not sure about the adapters, but there are some manufactures made adapters for this lens, i think LEE have one.

really looking forward to getting this lens out in the field so to speak... slapped it on the 6D today for kicks around the house and was just astounded by the crazy crispy close-up handheld snaps I was getting!!

Cheers-

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Honestly this is the easiest lens I have to capture a moving object while panning. Set the lens to it's hyper focal distance and set the desired shutter speed and you're good to go.

I'll be honest...I STILL don't have a clear understanding of this. :(

Hey everyone, I just got this and it's as amazing as everyone says it is.

One question though. I've been looking and the sites that address this issue, I haven't been able to get it to work.

Is there a lens profile out there for Canon 6D (or Canon full frame) for LR4?
With the websites that offer a profile, I tried loading it and it doesn't seem to work.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

the samyang is so wide that you can guess an aperture, say F8 and 3 feet, will make everything in focus, so the lens is prefocused. It's the point where everything in the frame is in focus. Fairly easy to do with wide angles, near impossible with longer lengths.

OK... I finally did a sharpness test and I am worried that my lens has decentering... this was a photo taken of my home library from about 6 feet away. Manual focus @ F2.8, on a tripod, leveled, etc. The UL and UR seem to be blurry relative to the center, LL and LR. All images are shot in RAW on a 6D, SOOC, no corrections whatsoever. Should I exchange the lens for another?

Thank you! :D Why can't everything I've read just say this?

not bad, pretty sure mine is worse, still works well in practice.

Good to know, thanks! I got the lens to shoot the night sky and I wish I could just go out and shoot that instead of my bookshelf, but being in Oregon, that would be in circa June or July

I really would like to avoid the Rokinon lottery, sending and receiving lenses until I get one that is "good." If this lens is a reasonable copy, I'd opt to just call it good and crop the corners if they affect the shot too much.
