Is this lens a choice for 70D? I've read a lot about focusproblems?

Yes, this is a good choice for any crop camera.

Focus issues can happen with any lens/camera combo (both camera lenses and camera bodies have calibration variations). The plus with the new sigma lenses, like the 18-35, is that now you can get the usb dock to fix any possible focus variation. Do bad copies happen? Yes. However search around and you will find a lot more glowing reviews of this lens then one's that mention any issues.

What aperture did you use for this? It's very nice. Very sharp. I love this lens!

i am aiming to get this lens but I have never owned a sigma before
I was wondering how the rendering of the image is SOOC
for instance - I find my Tamron 28-75 to be a warmer rendering than my canon lenses.
How would you describe a Sigma?

Of course it helps having very photogenic children to shoot.:) The lens is terrific but you took the results to another level. What do you use for PP? I generally use Lightroom 5.3.

yeah, my godson is a handsome chap ;)

I use CaptureOne Pro 7 for RAW conversion (apparently the B+W control is very much like NIK black and white?), I then tweak with Photoshop.
