I would surmise they have already looked at the stock agencies and now decided to go down the "can we get a freebie" route. Flattering though it is the chances of selling more imagery or getting commissions from such exposure IMO are very limited if not 'a never happen'.

They are a commercial organisation and were I in your shoes I would ask what their budget is (perhaps do some background research on the Stock sites and see if similar images exist and what sort of rates are being shown), what usage?, how long will they wish to show?, and in how many markets globally???

If he says no budget...............a​sk him what of monetary value they can offer by way of payment (free holiday maybe ). If you hear sounds of rolling on the floor laughing, perhaps you can suggest to him in the nicest possible way if he would be willing to work for nothing other than 'market exposure of his talents....'

Best of luck getting a proper outcome that puts money in the bank/dinner on the table

Thanks for the advice guys! To be honest I'm quite chuffed about the interest, I've never sold a shot before and taking shots is definitely more of a hobby than an attempt at making some pennies, but it certainly can't hurt to ask - they must have a decent budget

Bit of a weekend road trip last weekend. Bath Friday/Saturday then Swanage for Saturday night/Sunday morning. Woke up just before dawn Sunday morning and went out for a walk to catch the early morning light. Pretty pleased with the results.....

As I have stated here many times now, my view is to always say no if they want something for free. The exposure argument for me is invalid. Who wants to advertise that they work for nothing? Some people rely on selling their work to pay the bills - people giving their work away does not help this. For writer read photographer and if you don't have 3:25 minutes to watch this, the important bit starts at 2:33

The queen is fat I don't know anything about airports, but don't you usually want the runway to run parallel with your landing course? Or is that plane about to make a quick right hand turn?

It's a great shot though, assuming it didn't end in fiery death.

Kev, it's a cross wind something that pilots love as they get to kick the rudder to straighten up seconds before touching down... It can be quite dangerous though, sudden drop of air and the aircraft would drop...

Happens quite a lot at Birmingham.

Did somehow manage to give a home to another Chameleon though?! damned addictive past time that is turning out to be... proper pics to follow!

also got out with the lad to drive in his little car in the sunshine - next few weekends should be photo heavy though - got a family visit this weekend and the Shard the following weekend! I've also booked tickets to the British F1 GP in July

so with a few weeks of sunshine forecast who's up to what? and dare I mention the dreaded meet up??
