I spent the end of the week at Amelia Island photographing The Amelia Island Concours, which was held at the Ritz Carlton. It was a great show of the old and the new. Here are a few photos from Sunday. I was on the golf course, where the cars were staged, before sunrise and I left about 4pm. That's a long day but well worth the early wakeup.

1. Best of show winner, 1937 Horch, rolling onto the fairway just at dawn

2. This is why I got there before dawn. I can't wait to get this into photoshop

3. Pre show prep work

5. A beautiful Maserati

6. Under the hood

7. You know you want it.

I love that Horch (never heard of them), but what's with all that dirt? Looks like a scan gone bad.

I think he's talking about the white specs that are along the left side and down across the bottom of the first picture.

I love the pics! My father was very big into old cars...your pics bring me back to my childhood days when he would take me along.

Great work. I never heard of a Horch, but that is a work of art.

I see them now. That photo made a round trip to Nik Define. I just did it again, and it came back without the specks so go figure? Anyway it looks the same, just without the "dirt" :)
