Hey all, I'm thinking of upgrading/trading in my good old T2i but can't figure out what I should get.

I'm shooting mostly with a 17-55mm 2.8 lens. While I like the shots at 400 iso and below - I'm finding that I'm usually shooting indoor at 800 iso with no flash. Like so many people I'm also looking to downsize. The 17-55 is indeed a brick and with a 400ex flash on... it's just unfeasible for what I like to shoot. I also need video capability.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking a mirror-less APC camera of some sort. Since the T2i is so old now, I'm assuming that some of these smaller cameras can take comparable, if not better, shots. Is that correct?

A substantially "better" camera body would be one of the units in the Canon 1D family (external link), all which would be significantly larger and more expensive than a T2i.

Another useful, relatively small option would be the Canon G15. (external link)

Your message hints that you are not aware of the Canon SL1, (external link)the company's smallest DSLR. If that camera does not satisfy you, there is a good chance that nothing from the current crop of digital cameras will make you happy. It may be best to abandon photography for five or ten years until the state of the art advances to produce what you want.

Also I wont say the T2i is "so old now " I still shot with a 20D now and then and it performs well .
