Well, while I wait for the M to head off to service I was able to just keep pulling the battery today to get some use out of it. Canon is sending a prepaid label after I e-mailed them the video. Only had a little bit of time at lunch today.

Love the mops photo - is that using the black and white effect available in camera or post-processing?

its the in camera set to monochrome. What I have been doing is raw+jpeg so that I get a monochrome jpeg and a color raw. Now sure if its the most efficient but it seems to be nice.

The mop photo seems to be popular.

Anyone using these Halcyon batteries?(are they really 2,200mAh?)
http://www.amazon.com …o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (external link)

Got them in today, quality on the batteries are just like the OEM one, the charger is a bit poorly made but it'll work(as a backup).

I'll try them out for a week or so then give a full review.

Sidenote: Amazon's service lately has been pretty awesome. They're using better boxes now and vacuum packaging instead of those loosely air bags. Also I've been getting their free super saver in two days :D

Do they seem to be "chipped" - meaning they register remaining life properly with the camera and don't flash red/dead all the time?

Yes! work normally, everything is good so far. The power2000 are chipped also, they've worked flawlessly for me.

I believe that my Wasabi Power ones are chipped as well. Seem to last slightly longer than the Canon OEM.
