Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This weeks the theme is Unusual Perspective. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Show us a new way of looking.....

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between Monday posting and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES

That's it! Have fun! . As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it! Have fun!

Just to kick it off...I guess you could call this an unusual perspective in the self-portrait genre. Taken last night while walking my dogs.

Interesting shot that made me stop and look. The isolated sunlight on the tree and the shadow that seems to be sneaking a look at us work well together. Mysterious. Nicely seen!

Nicely captured, Ricardo. I'm with Barbara, it has a bit of mystery to it. This could definitely be an interesting week for pictures.

That's a really cool shot, Richard. And a great interpretation of the theme.

Been really busy of late. Did drag the camera along this morning. So here is one from me. Just a quick shot. Hoping for something a little better before the end of the week. Guess you might say, its a little closer look at Smoke. Never really noticed the different layers of smoke before. Hope this works.:)

Thank you all very much.

Joayne, the hat is best seen in silhouette like this...in reality it is definitely past it's best! :D

I have an idea in my head, but getting it out and into the camera is a whole other ball of wax.

This is closer than the first 4 attempts, but it is still missing something. I'll use this as a placeholder just in case I can't get what I want fully realized.

It's one shot, just applied filters on half, and I have only one tall tripod so I had to use a lightstand :o

This is turning out to be an interesting week!

Terry, The smoke really does show lots of color and interesting shapes! I like it..

Mr Vette.. That is a very unusual perspective!
(tho, I'd be nervous about the lightstand! ) ;)

...and Ricardo.. The best hats are generally past their prime :)

I like the smoke, Terry and a really neat idea Vetter.

I had a couple ideas but one requires me to go to a certain spot and there's a chance that might not happen. I don't know how creative it is, but here's one idea.

Lots of creative thinking here Vette. It is quite interesting trying to match one's vision and the reality of it. Pretty cool concept.:)

Interesting perspective for sure Stina. Hopefully you will be able to get to that
certain spot. Heh! I have one of those 50 MD lens. Least you put yours to a good use.
Good one.:)
