I recently acquired a Haida ND1000 ... cheap solution befor considering spending more money on a ND... works perfectly, without noticing any loss of quality ... here are two samples of what I have done lately with it.

Absolutely! Excellent filter.... I got it after seeing recommendations from a bunch of people here on POTN. This was shot with the Haida 10 stopper..

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

For those of you looking. It appears the LEE Big Stopper is in stock at Unique Photo. I bought mine from them a year ago. http://www.uniquephoto.com/search/go?w=LEE&x=0&y=0 (external link)

I found a site that says they retail for roughly £100...so like $165 maybe?

I didn't know these existed. They might be nice for dawn and dusk shots.

Thats what im thinking. At these times the big stopper equates to a ridiculous shutter time. I normally turn a 3 stop GND upside down to act as a ND but a 6 stop ND might be better

I need to get the little add ons that will let me stack more than two filters in my foundation kit. Looks good...I have always wanted to find a good smoke stack like that...nice calm day on that one.

I kept two of my screw on filters for that reason...and just picked up a square .9 solid Lee ND so that I don't have to use the GND anymore.

I use a Lee Wide Angle Bellows hood with the CPL attachment ring on front and 3 filter holders behind it.. It's nice being able to stack 4 filters for some extreme shots :)

Great shots, Bennis! Is the 10 stop the only filter you use?

-Jalal

Yeah mate. I use a Nisi ND1000. Not very well known, but has absolutely no colour cast at all. No warm cast as per B+W and no cool cast as per the Big Stopper.

I use an X-Pro1 which has incredible dynamic range and amazing RAW files. I sold off all my grad filters as they became redundant, I don't even have to blend exposures anymore.
