Elvis because it's skinny at the beginning and fat at the end.

Or simply "the hump". If you've looked at the lens for anytime at all you'll know why.

Ah, the "200-400" is just too complicated to remember, so it just got to get an alias :p

Funny, when I hear the word "Hubble" I still think of the problems it had when it was initially deployed, and the nick name those problems earned it: Mr. Magoo.

I think the Hubble would be a better nickname for the EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III

Yeah, but the 75-300 is kind of a dinky little lens (physically) and not that impressive in terms of reach. I would give the designation "Hubble" to the Sigma 50-500mm or Tamron 150-600mm. Huge, heavy, long, and questionable focus accuracy.

Awwwww. I hate nicknames for things. Can't we just call it what it is, the Canon 200-400/560 f4 IS ?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I was wondering how/why you call your lens Lizzy and, for some reason, it reminded me of the old joke:

What do you call a dog with no legs?

It doesn't matter, he's not going to come when you call him!

Let's call it "The big dog" because it doesn't matter...
