Thank you. I don't know his name.Last Friday a series of riots are raging in multiple cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, among others, for social reasons. I worked as a photojournalist in Banja Luka and caught some shots.

My 17-55 IS is starting to chatter. Not all the time but I missed a shot the other day and had to switch the IS off to use the lens. I can see the focus hunt in the viewfinder also.

The easy answer is to send it off to Canon but is there any other fix?

I am waiting to get a new camera and will probably get a kit lens along with to use while the 17-55 is off getting fixed but that won't be till this fall.

Just picked up this lens and I am wondering what UV filters you are using ? I heard a rumour that some UV filters will not allow you to use a hood due to their size.

I have a HOYA HD... Works fine with the lens hood :)

Awesome! Love the mood you created here.

Sticking with the long exposure, I went fishing today, which was a total bust, but fortunately I brought a camera along, and snagged a few long exposures of the river. This was probably my favorite of the day:

Excellent and no glint off of any cars. You should try Ft. Baker at night or Yerba Buena island also if you are still around. There may also be whales in the bay.

I prefer Pachelbels lesser known work, Canon in L and the 99 cent menu club.

I'm taking a serious look at this lens to replace my tammy 17-50, but what I've seen is that this suffers from some pretty aggressive lens creep. So with that in mind, I thought I would ask here, so see if actual owners find this to be true, and if it's as big an issue as some would make it.

Had mine 9 months and no creep.
