ty! hope 24mm is wid enough on ff. ill probably go with that. and i will have a porter too. inca was sold out so doing the salkantay trek. as time nears i will def have a few questions. ty for the offer

honestly, i wish i had had something a little bit more wide angled when i was there.

good luck with the salkantay trek. i've heard it's much harder than the inca trail. next time i go back to Peru (which seems to be every 10-12 years) i plan to do that trek.

If you look at the photo I posted above of the comparison, the one taken this year is at 24 mm. I really really wish that for a lot of it i had had something wider.

I thought the climb up Huayna Picchu was harder than day 2 of the trek, up to Dead Women's Pass. What day were you at the site? My group arrived into Machu Picchu on the 11th.

I was there on the 7th. We got lots of fog and rain on the hike to Huayna Picchu (we were in the 7am group) and everyone hung out at the top to wait for momentary glimpses of the ruins. By lunchtime things had cleared up and we wandered through the ruins in ample sunlight.
