Couldn't agree more...

First time I got to shoot a TF race I missed the whole thing cause I was holding my ears and gritting my teeth as every bone in my body vibrated...

I learned not to stand trackside after that...;)

Ear plugs + ear muffs - that's the only combination for TF trackside.

Nice pics Sam Adams. Renterias are a good group. We've raced with them in Top Sportsman a few times.

Even though our Nova was unwilling to participate properly in the race, it was still a blast.

PS...You cousins car was tearing it up out there, major props :D

Yeah for the first time out this year they finally got a couple good runs in. This was kind of their test and tune. The track folks said they have not seen a car carry the front end like that so far down the track. He had to let off at about 4 sec in since he couldn't feel the front end and was drifting to the center line. Still ran 6.03. They don't have all the money and time like some of the others but they still are right there ready to pounce.
Maggio with that 5.69 jeeze he's got that thing worked out.

While i agree, after being in the race scene for 25 years i've learned the driver can only be as badass as his crew.

While i cannot speak for Maggio and his crew, it is quite obvious from what i saw they are on top of their game.

As for my driver, he is also part of the crew, he's wrenching on the car in his fire suit 10 mins before he goes to line up. As Sam Adams said, not all of us have all the money, we pull our resources however we can.

Oh I know what you mean. My uncle owns and drives a top sportsman car (that were hoping to get into the 6s this season) and it's a family affair. While it would be nice to have the money and resources of some of the bigger and pro teams, there's something to say about family wrenching together at the track. What do you run ?
