My rule on price matching is this. If I look at two sites for the same product and site B is cheaper than site A then I order from site B unless I just don't like site B. I don't play the game of emailing site A asking for a cheaper price. Not worth my time if I'm indifferent about the two sites.

I totally agree with you!

Yeah, and it's hard for all the companies to stay on top of each others' prices on every product constantly. Also, I like getting "the best price" as much as the next guy, but "the best price" can often come at the cost of having a knowledgeable staff, etc. I try to restrict my purchases to where I can get the best price and still know I'll have a decent chance at good service and a knowledgeable group of workers.

Bingo........ The staff makes a HUGE differance. You do not get this with Amazon.

Can you please email me: Helen@adorama.com (external link) URGENTLY. If a call center rep was rude then we will take immediate action!
If you can give me the date and approximate time of your call, plus the number you called from I can listen to the recording of your call and ID him or her. Thank you.

Helen, It was a couple weeks ago and I don't recall the specific day. It was not offensive at all, just not as polite or helpful as the folks that usually answer the phones. And truth be told, I still ordered the camera from adorama a few days later :)

Yes I did :) My order is still backordered, but I was told I would get charged the matched price whenever the item is shipped. Thanks for your follow up on the matter.

I think Fry's Electronic has the BEST price match policy on the planet. They've NEVER say NO to me whenever I show up with BH, Adorama or Amazon sale ads. The downside is (9% sale tax)

B and h and adorama are kinda like Walmart. Just ask your local camera store.

So delighted to see that Walmart now employs pro photographers who can give you all the help and advice needed for everyone from beginners to professionals - and that they are offering photography workshops, taught by a world-class roster of outstanding photographers, filmmakers, well-known educators and knowledgeable industry pros - plus that they offer online tutorials, buying guides and product reviews.........;)

I can say this about walmart, I have never purchased something there that was labled: "For promotional use only, not for individual sale" Can't say the same about Adorama.
