Thanks for the nice comments guys! :D

Your landscape and architecture photos with this lens combo are insane! My wife and I sat down and looked through your flickr account. Made us wish we could live in Europe (or at least travel more) ;)

I like both of these too. Are you shooting off a tripod or are these using the OSS of the 24-70 ? ? ? Are you doing much to process your shots, how are the colours SOOC ?

Thanks. These were shot handheld. Shutter speeds were 1/640 and 1/800 so I don't think image stabilizaton mattered much. For better or worse, I also do a lot of post processing on all my shots as I enjoy that as much as the actual exposure itself. The colors on these finished images are much warmer and more saturated than they were sooc.

Did some character shots for a live entertainment website. Rented two profoto d1's and triggered them with a 580ex. This was my first time doing this but they seemed to turn out ok. Client wanted upper body shots. Asked if these could be cropped for headshots. Yes I think you've got the pixels. Sony Zeiss 55mm lens. Did I already mention this isn't my usual thing?

How did you manage to use the 580EX II on an A7r?

I always like nikon or sony sensor for landscape photography.

I wish someone could make a to b or side by side comparison between canon and these sony with the same focal length and exposure

Took this at lunch today with a Vintage Minolta 500MM mirrored lens and my A7R. Manual focus of course. I was about 70 feet away.

Some really nice ones in there Tony, especially the last one.

Some photos from around Melbourne on the weekend. All with the A7r and Samyang 85/1.4

The focus ring on this lens is so much nicer to use than any of the AF type lenses I have. Coupled with focus magnification and it was quick work getting into focus.
