I just figured it out. Flickr will not function properly in FireFox, I have to use Chrome to use Flickr properly.

I use Soaper... er, Opera 12 in my PC and Flickr still displays in the old version (and it works fine), but when I tried it on my Mac earlier in the afternoon it displayed with the new horrendous interface and I couldn't find a way to go back to what my PC shews either. :(

My "pin" code (aka BBCode)doesn't appear to be resizing my image for POTN. No matter which size I choose, the code doesn't change and the photo will appear at full resolution when I try to post it. Any ideas? :-( I've tried in Chrome and Safari.

Ah ha! and guess who uses Firefox. Chrome always used to slow my computer down.

This is how I do it in Chrome.

Click “share this photo”
(photo must be “public”)
Click the “pin” button
Select the photo size from the drop down menu
Copy the link and paste into your post and then press enter.

If you don't want the photo to link to Flickr, delete everything outside the

I use Safari... and I don't see a Pin anywhere.

Edit: I now see the pin... but no code to cut and paste...
Edit #2: Must be PUBLIC to see the code. Got it.

Don't see the title text at the bottom anymore though... any way to bring that back?

See if you can get the "title text" using the Paper clip or the "</>" button links.

The new Beta has been rolled out for English flickr. Change to another language and you go back to the old one.

Wow, this is really bad. Glad to see everyone else shares the same frustration. On m 4:3 work computer I too am losing about 25% of the screen to the cartoonish sidebar. The 1990s Clipart drawings of the lenses and cameras so silly. It seems if they removed the nonsense it would take up 20% of the space.

It thinks my Canon SL1 is a 1980s Polaroid camera:

Thanks to this thread I figured out how to attach my image here on POTN. Thank you, thank you!!
I have noticed that half the time I click on a picture (someone's from here or even mine) it directs me to "Welcome to Flickr" page!? If I go back and click again it usually leads me to the picture, what's up with that? I'm not feeling this change one bit. :(

Yeah. I was thinking of maybe going back to flickr, but no way am I doing that now. The awfulness that is flickr has just increased with a factor 10. Just when you think it can't get any worse, although the New Experience was there like a sword of Damocles; you knew it would inevitably come down...

Have you all seen flickr's help pages? They're full of angry people. As if Yahoo/flickr cares about that. It's a repetition of last year. They let everybody complain and after a couple of months they simply close the thread(s) and not listen to anything said in there.

Now I log in and you will soon not be able to use FaceBook or Google to log in... you'll have to have a Yahoo account. Ugh.

The new design of 500px is looking really nice. I think a lot of us may switch over.

Levina, how do you like ipernity? I might have to check out 500px as well.
I don't know if I'll get used to this new flickr and even if I do, what will they change next?
