Does anyone have problems with the zoom ring? Mines like..kinda stiff to turn, like I can turn it slowly back and forth. The manual focus ring is fluid and excellent.

Mine is definitely stiffer than some cheaper lenses, which is a good thing that prevents zoom creep, but I wouldn't say it's hard to turn.

After using it some more last night it felt right. It's like built pretty tough and I would imagine to prevent zoom creep even with the lock off it's gotta be stiff. I read around on some other forums and this is actually common. I was pretty happy after that, I got so carried away taking pictures I forgot all the flaws. Mine does this minor tick tick noise when changing the zoom range but I can live with it! This may have just killed my Sigma 35 and Canon 50 in one go. I know it can't do 1.4 but DAMN is the IQ gorgeous.

Nice shots everyone. Question Need a long focal length to compliment my 24-70 II Should I go 70-200 or 135L?

I think for lightweight, 100L or 135L. If you need the versatility for sure, the 70-200 II doesn't disappoint at all.

..well that or a 70-200 f/4L IS for lightweight zoom!
