Thanks everyone, there is some fantastic stuff in here. Above is the female, this is her male counter part.
I can say I would not leave home with out this lens.

Really love these shots of fox, esp. the male. Are they afraid of people getting so close?

I am very happy with the files that this lens produces. They are very sharp for a zoom. I use it a lot as a walkabout lens.

Anyway - here is the required 'Duck' shot....:)

People don't get close frank, I don't know anyone that can sneak up on a fox and shoot, Mr Fox will always know your there, The only way is to put yourself where the Fox may come to you. Then shoot that Canon like you stole it!!

Of course having a critter magnet always helps

Head towards Druids, inside the bend for panning and outside for the approach shots it will be a lot busier so you might have to fight for a spot. Have a great day

Do any of you, besides Keyan and myself, use the 70-300L on a 70D and if so, have you tried using a Kenko 1.4X teleconverter? There are numerous reports that the Kenko 1.4X (either model) doesn't work well with the 60D so I avoided a trail run. I'm wondering if the 70D would be any different.

I know gulls aren't very exciting but they were in great supply yesterday and I managed to get a few decent shots. This lens seems to love being on my 70d.
