Is it on the ebay return policy link? I don't see it there unless I missed it.

The extra clauses are buried deep under the "Returns" tab at the bottom of the description.

The eBay return policy link just says "14 days".

No worry. Buy it and have it shipped to me (California, NO sale tax) then I will ship the camera back to you, but keep the Lightroom 5...

Thanks. Found it. Probably enough of a deterrent to save my $$. :)

Ed, you do not have to pay by cash. I think they would love to take your CC or Paypal :)

They can claim no return, 14 days or whatever they want but Ebay and Paypal set the rules all merchants must abide by. In most states by law you have 14 days for returns regardless of what an interstate merchant tries to dictate. If a merchant does not abide by the law in your state just contact your credit card company and they will issue a chargeback.

In its 2000 Dot Com Disclosures guide,[18] the FTC said that “[d]isclosures that are required to prevent deception or to provide consumers material information about a transaction must be presented clearly and conspicuously.”

You're right. But if they already state that they won't accept returns. Do you really want to try and deal with them if you have a problem? You can fight and win but at what cost in terms of hassle and time wasted.

I am sure they are fine... 99.1% positive feedback and 40,000 of them at that. They are Canon USA authorized dealer, plus, you have paypal and (hopefully) a good credit card behind you as well if any issues. I don't really see all the worry here... If it is broke, you will know pretty quickly. Anything else, get it repaired with Canon.

They are also listed on the Canon site for authorized US dealers: http://www.usa.canon.com …anonAuthorizedDealers.pdf (external link)

I would bet they only do this to scare away people who buy and return to get free rentals. If you had an honest problem it's unlikely they will refuse a legit return. But even if they did it's not much of a hassle imho really. If they refuse to accept the return and Paypal grants a refund you get your money back and you can keep the item. So I'd be all for them rejecting my return and giving me gear but to each his own.

It takes a lot of negative comments to get that percentage down to 99.1% with 40K feedbacks.
