I shot a friend's new born a few weeks ago and wanted to get some feed back. It was very difficult and I am in awe of the people who do this for a living!

I don't have any other friends having children anytime soon so I probably won't have another shoot but I would be interested in critique/comments if you have them. I think my biggest fault on these was not keeping his face clear of hands/blankets etc.

I think they look great... The dump truck looks a little small, and the legs hanging out look a little awkward... you might need a wagon or wheel barrow instead as a prop... Other than that, very nice...

Thank you mguffin. The dad had the dump truck and he was soooo proud of it :) but I see your point. Maybe one of those little red wagons would be good?

Good job. I also took my first newborn about a week ago. We have pretty similar results :)

Agreed - very challenging! Really nice work though, you'll just get better from here :-)

Think about NOT using the word "retarded" in a derogatory manner - it insults those who cannot defend themselves - and hurts the ones who love them. Please see: http://www.r-word.org/ (external link)
