It's nothing like the A7/R. The menus were overhauled with A7/R and the just released A6000.

Thanks, that's useful to know. I tried searching the forum for details comparing them but came up short. All I remember is the NEX 6 being fairly well received at its release. I've got no instruction booklet on it, but am managing to get around the settings, I went for a sunset tonight but missed it when it clouded over. I may try tomorrow weather depending.
