^^

Both very cool shots. Love the reflection on the Nightrod (hopefully I got that right!) and the perspective in the shot above of the Yamaha trike.

Nice!

That's an interesting treatment, & I like it. Might have taken a shot with some white board on the floor to kick in some subtle highlights in the bottom of the chrome.
Here's an animation of the editing process.

Had the shot have been planned to end up like the image above Frank I may have taken a little more time setting it up and maybe bounced a little more light up to the underside. As you can see it was just a chance shot outside in the Pub car park.

Not posted as an entry into this thread as it's not very interesting; or artistic, posted only to show Frank what the original shot used for the above image looked like.

You did a great job on it, Mick! I'd have been tempted to get rid of the stand, too, just 'cause I could. ; )

Folks, let's talk a bit about bikes.
After 10 years of trusty service, and 100k miles of sport-touring, I'm selling my 2002 VFR and swapping it for a 2002 KTM 640 Adventure.
My VFR has a nice Givi 52-litre top box, which was great to carry my photo gear (usually my gripped 7D, 70-200, 10-20, external HD and 13" Macbook Pro. (plus various cables, batteries, chargers, etc...)
I'm considering getting a Pellican case (which one?) and bolting it to the rear rack of the Katoum.
Thoughts, ideas? Thanks.

Buy a GoldWing mate, you don't have to bolt anything on to it, it's already got more room for goodies than you need as std fit, plus it's so smooth it's guaranteed there will be no vibration damage to your gear. All that said, once again I'm not sure if this is the correct thread for this, it would make a good thread on it's own.

Discussion of carrying gear on a motorcycle for the purpose of shooting is absolutely great in this thread. I posted some of my gear (tank bag and backpack) setup shots somewhere on the first page, I think.

I will think on it but generally I'd recommend to get a proper motorcycle bag like a Givi or something rather than bolting a pelican case on the back of a bike.

I need a better carry option for my fz-09. Usually I just wear my backpack. I added a few bits so I will be adding more photos to this thread soon!

Here's a write up I did on the Diavel forum with a tank bag and backpack deal. I wear a backpack as well, since my Diavel doesn't have any luggage. Hope it's helpful or gives some ideas for a light carry solution.

@mrniceguy715 - be sure share some photos of your setup as well and how you like it!
