Never been down there, just to the look out on the point. I used to take out a young lady who lived in a house around the curve in the road. But yeah hahahaha

Isn't it about time Wellington based stalkers of this thread (and any random visitors) got together over a pizza and a drink or two?

I'm thinking a Tuesday night in about three weeks?

Who is in?

While I'm here actually - anyone any series experience with the 24TSE either Mk 1 or Mk 2? I'm looking at picking one up while away in my pursuit of building my architecture portfolio some more and while chasing my obsession for 'squared off' bleak images.

All thoughts and comments welcome.

Cheers, Dave.

Bought one a couple of years ago , mkII.

Absolutely awesome lens. extreme edges once shifted are a bit muddy and tilt is a mind**** but its such a versatile lens.

I had the Mk 1 - it was good but not spectacular. Sharpness was about on a par with my 17-40. I sold it because I am planning to get a Mk2 some day.
I think every serious landscape photographer should own one, but they do take some getting used to. Of course Live View makes them much easier to use...

Good darts guys. So it's basically worth buying the MkII? Have either of you wished you'd got the longer versions instead, or even the 17?

Cheers, Dave.

I should add that I've repeatedly used the 45mm and I liked it for portraits, but it's too long for some of the building stuff I'd like to do. I kinda wish they did a 35 or 28 personally, because I never take my 35L off the camera...

Cheers, Dave.

Shcnider are doing a 28 and have a better 50 than the canon 45 afik.

24mm is a good landscape frame for me, I use a normal 50 and stitch sometimes.

24mm can be 17mm or 14mm depending on shift.

I rarely use shift for perspective though usually for stitching.
