It may just be my perception but I am convinced the 5D3 image quality/color is much higher than the 50D.

It is, both image quality and dynamic range. More pixels, less noise, bigger senor all help lots. If your interested in the numbers, here are the two compared from DxO mark. I know it's highly controversial here on POTN because it's a very narrow measure and probably because Canon historically has performed poorly against other manufacturers so if you don't like DxO, dont click the link, but it does offer solid technical objective measurements of pure sensor performance.

Thank you. I have nothing against DxO, I have never really visited their site.

So yep... not just in my head... :)

Well that was a crazy way to end the work week.

Over the last few days we've been having problems with our air compressors. There are two of them that work together. One will run until it hits the cut-out pressure and will shut off. When the air pressure drops, the other compressor will run. They go back and forth. Or, at least they are supposed too. There's something wrong with the control panel, the second compressor won't turn on. Since it won't take it's turn, the first one never comes back on. Someone has to go push a button twice to override the second compressor, and then the first one will run again. Easy enough, except that the compressors are on the far side of the dealership, behind locked doors. I had to get keys from the owner so I could get in to turn them on. And then had to run back every time the pressure dropped.

The program that we use, Dealer Track, decided it needed a vacation. Starting today. I was the only one in the dealership that was able to log into the program, but nothing would print. All I could do was hit print screen. Tech support is in Utah. We had to wait until someone woke up and decided to answer the phone. They emailed us a procedure to try, and it didn't work. It was 11:45 before anything would work properly.

Ford's technical site is also not allowing anyone to log on.

We open at 7:30 am. I had three people walk in before I had the lights turned on. Or the compressor turned on. Or any computer programs running. And the traffic didn't stop. Had to turn people away.

And to add to all of this, the oil change kid was working in slow motion and doing so weird things that just compounded the frustration.

But now I'm home and I have lots of sap to boil. :D

Took the wife and dog hiking yesterday. Ended the day cooking hot dogs over a mesquite fire in the backyard. Back to work today :(

Yeah, it's pretty. Lots of trails, cooler than the valley. But remind me not to go again on a Saturday in Spring. Way too many people.

Good timing of the photos; it really was crowded.

It would've been better for critter hunting; could've gone far off-trail looking for snakes and whatnot

Kinda forgot about this thread today. Woke up groggy and haven't been able to shake the cobwebs all day :( Two more hours in my shift, then a long weekend.
