[QUOTE=davidmtml;16795679]Depends on what you're looking for. I have heard the Tokina 19-35 is okay, but definitely not great.

i had it on my 5d and the images were very nice for the price you pay for it when its get to around f8. I got mine for 100 off here but the auto focus is just terrible with anything that isnt moving. and I would still have it but it broke when a guy tried it on his 1 series body. Maybe it was just the lens but ive heard of old lenses not be able to be compatible with newer bodies

can someone tell me where to find the white slider in photoshop raw?

If by "white slider" you mean the White Balance control:

Open the Raw file in Adobe Camera Raw (you can use Bridge to browse to the file then open it in ACR by double-clicking or by clicking on the aperture icon in the Bridge toolbar. You can also open ACR from the Photoshop editor, but using Bridge is quicker...

Once you are in Camera Raw, the White Balance control is the very first slider in the first panel/tab (the Basic tab).

You'll notice that there are actually two White Balance sliders, one for "Temperature" and one for "Tint". These together give you a "balance" between the various color tones.

If you are not asking about White Balance, then...?

I have the 19-35 (Although in a promaster variant). I bought it at the local camera store used (no box, just the lens and caps) for $29. Only shot a few sample shots, but definitely not as good as the 17-40L.

I will be sure to post some up of my 5dc/19-35 combo as soon as I get to shoot with it.

I considered the 15-30, Tokina's 20-35's in both f2.8 and f3.5-4.5, and the various 17-35 f2.8-4 models from all the third party brands. The variable 20-35 Tokina was the first to be had for a good deal so I grabbed it. Ken Rockwell really likes it, putting it ahead of the 2.8 and a variety of other lenses. Allegedly, the 19-35 is the same optical formula, but much more plastic build.

I like it enough, but it can feel limited for zoom range. Build is superb and image quality seems fine stopped down to f5.6 and beyond.

Hey guys, I just picked up a 5D Classic and am looking for a wide angle lens.

However my budget is a measly $250.

I have found a Sigma 15-30 for a good price, and I have read about the Tokina 19-35 being pretty good for the price.

Are there any other suggestions?

I could possible swing $300.

Some daisies. The cloudy day made it really flat though I thought the contrast to the green made them jump out nicely. 40mm pancake @2.8.

^ That's nice, but the image is way too big. Images aren't allowed to exceed 1024px on the long side. You can read all about it in the Image Posting Rules: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=194511
