Used my phone for the entire lighting for the shot. Taped my business cards to create a bar of light to control lighting exactly how I wanted.

I thought I'd give the snow flake macro rig a try this evening, although we have no snow, so tried a little cooking oil, water drops and some coloured pencil crayons.

The snow flake macro rig:

This rig has potential: once the lens is focused, it's just a case of removing/fitting the UV filter. It can be hand held (for snow flakes) but as I was experimenting with flash and distance to the background, I used the tripod.

I have been working on a directory of them members of our church lately. It started off with my 3 speedlights a window and reflector. This week as I was planning on couples I brought out my big octobox and strobe.

Thanks! That's what I was going for  Glad to hear it worked, sometimes with your own work its hard to really be neutral and see if you did the right job. I think the ultimate realism would have been to not have a figure in the drivers seat.

Big Daddy, nice work.
You will find the post time reduced if you use a clamp to pull the fabric sideways to reduce the wrinkles and folds in the backdrop.

Srika - love the shot, clearly, and I like the use of the lamp for lighting, but I have to know, what hotel is that?
