Bloody hell, this product looks really good and makes a ton of sense. Cannot wait to see a fresnel accessory for this. I am going to shot them an email right now.

Cheers.

This is the response I got:

<QUOTE>
Thanks for your interest in the MagMod brand and product line.

While I can't confirm or deny anything in specific regarding future products that may or may not be in consideration, prototype or design stages.... I can say that you will like what is coming from us over here at MagMod over the next 12-18 months.

We are excited about the very bright future of MagMod and what is to come.

We encourage you to follow us on social media (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram) to stay current on all of our upcoming announcements.

Thanks for your feedback and your questions.

</QUOTE>

Obviously I had asked for a BB kinda thing....12-18 months, that's pretty long. I am thinking to buy a set and try to come up with a DIY fresnel adapter that works until they have to offer something better....

Cheers.

I need to talk to him. He has been very vague on new products.
He is just filling his original orders now.

That does look awesome.

My guess is part of the development of a BB like Magmod, would go right back to the topic of this thread.. ie: does Magmod make one akin to BB that is portable and easily stored, or like the Harbor digital, which looks far more likely to adapt the Magmod products.

Long before the Harbor was around, a fellow POTNer and I toyed around with an improved BB that would fold open quickly.

Jeremy, if you have any influence, you might want to offer that idea as by FAR the best of both worlds solution. It would trounce the BB and Harbor.

Origami comes to my mind...if they can make a Kayak (orukayak.com) ....that would be beyond awesome...

Cheers.

I like my Better Beamer, but I have been trying to solve the droop problem. Does the Harbor Digital unit droop too? I have seen many photographers indicate that the flash head is what droops, not the Better Beamer itself. If that is the case, then both the Better Beamer and Harbor Digital units should both droop. Any comments on that from anybody would be great.

If the Harbor Digital doesn't droop, then I'll buy it.

Excellent. Can I get a confirmation on a model that will fit the 600 EX-RT?

Mine droops. I've tried using it for motocross with a 300mm lens and wasn't getting any
light on the subject (was using the 600ex + the harbor digital for fill flash). When I looked
into the problem, it appears that the flash head was drooping (so all my light was hitting
the ground in front of me). I haven't spent the time futzing with the setup to see what
could be done since I'd rather be out shooting.

It's a crying shame because I think this could bring my photos (especially mid-day here in Texas)
a little something extra.

I ordered the Harbor Digital and will be using it on 800mm. Will tell you how it goes. Arrives next week. Somebody personal message me if I forget to give an update.
