I'm planning to purchase the Speedo BD and I've read some reviews and even the sales rep from B&H said it'll not mount to my AB.

Is there any adapter that i can purchase so i can mount the Speedo to my AB?

Thank you!

Is there any particular reason you want the speedotron beauty dish over the one that is manufactured FOR alien bees BY paul c buff?

Im admittedly the second biggest speedotron junky on this particular forum, but choosing the speedotron BD over the native mount has me scratching my head!

Unless, of course, you have come to your senses, and, you own speedotron gear :)

I believe Kacey Enterprises makes an adapter that will work. Or you could buy the PCB speed ring and drill holes to match the Speedotron BD.

Its not that i don't like the beauty dish from PCB, but the issue I'm having is the shipping cost, Im from Alaska and they're charging me higher than the price of the Beauty Dish. $97.46 to be exact (UPS Ground) and $79.95 for their BD.

You can get a Kacey adapter: http://www.kaceyenterprises.com/?page_id=481 (external link)

Works fairly well w/ the Speedo dish..it's what I use.
The Kacey dish is also good if you can find a grid for it.
