The first photo is a cool shot. I like the color and lighting. Cool pose too. My eye seems to want a little wider crop though. The second shot is a little dark and I my eye is really not drawn to anything in particular here. Maybe a tighter crop and some fill??

Way too many colors going on in the styling of the first one - at least for me. Lighting is fine. The jump pose is a little extreme, being cropped that tightly, but it's also fine.

Otherwise, I like both images. Good sense of style!

Ditto, I love the tie in the second. Both are great in my opinion.

socks with sandals? no..... (/jk)

the walls look a little pink. Is the WB off? Skin tones look good, but the pink wall is a little weird (note i am on a new computer from work, so maybe it is me)

other than that minor point (and the socks) I like them!

I had the same thought as you when he walked out in this outfit.. He'd seen the look in a magazine somewhere..

Yes the wall is a little pink... It's intentional though... I sometimes put magentas in the highlights.. I'm not always that bothered ( and rarely use ) a perfect white balance. ( although my SOOC always are balanced to begin with... I like to play around with Hughes to add a bit off interest to them... I know a lot of people wouldn't agree with how I do things processing and colour wise... But that's kinda why I like more fashion based stuff.. Because I can pretty much get away with doing these kind of things! :-)

I personally like them both. The second one is a more familiar look to me, and I would suspect why I like it more.
