Is it ok to use the very large Fotodiox softboxes with the Alien Bees? Such as the Fotodiox Pro 48x72 softbox. Will this be too heavy?

If it's too big you can get the Kasey adapter which holds the modifier and speedring itself.

Gareth,I have a very large octa (60") and a 48 square soft box. The are handled easily.

That adapter looks great. I'll keep it in mind in case I do end up needing it.

I have a set of Yongnuo RF602 triggers and receivers. Do they do the same thing as the basic CyberSync triggers and receivers: just transmit the signal to fire the strobe?

Thanks a lot!

Yep. That pretty much sums up what the basic CyberSyncs do. Granted with the CyberSyncs they are part of the power cord so there is no need to worry about mounting them or remembering to bring fresh batteries. ;)
