Looks like a7s announcement on Sunday. No specs yet

If the "r" in a7r stands for resolution, maybe the "s" in a7s stands for speed. Perhaps this new camera will have the same high speed fps and focus speed as the a6000.

Apparently it has 4K video and maybe a6000 autofocus; that seems a little unfair to those who bought the a7(r). The a6000 focus is crazy fast. I guess that's business, Hopefully sony gives us another update for those with a a7(r)

I think Olympus like IBIS, 4K video, and A6000 AF, all three are reasonable guesses on the new specs. Congratulations, your A7 used price plummeted even more Today. For those looking to pick up a used A7, the prices will hit the three-digit-number pretty soon.

1. I found the auto iso with Av setting bad, so I now shoot Av but manually adjust the iso to get my desired shutter speed.

In what way bad?

bannedPermanent ban

If "r" is for "resolution
and "s" is for "speed"
then is the "a" for "amateur"
and "7" for "We hope we get lucky with this one"

(just meant in fun...don't trip)

in AV auto focus, 1/60 is shutter speed preferred to keep low iso.

Which lens i can use with A7s or A6000 if i want to shoot sports, say soccer? I need minimum 300mm for that, even 70-200 i will pass.

Someone posted this on another website/forum asking for help or guide, so i told him if i can post his post on another forum he didn't mind, so i will post here and hope he will have the answer here, i may link him to here if he needed.

This is his post:
"I bought A7R recently, moving from A900.

I was little complaining about the AF speed and the hunting. I was so frustrated I thought my camera was defective and was about to return for an exchange.
It failed to lock in low light (with or w/o AF light), it hunted in indoor with lots of window light, it even missed focus outdoor in broad daylight.
I googled and found that many people complained of the same while some said AF is quite ok, I found someone said it is better than D800. With these in mind I was almost sure that my unit was defective. So, I initialized my camera, packed and got an RMA from B&H.

Suddenly I thought why not test the camera with the 50 1.8 E mount lens and see if my lens is defective and also test the FE 55 with Nex6 to see if my camera is defective.

I again unpacked it, mounted the lens and to my disbelief, the A7R-FE55 started working just fine, it locked 100% time, AF was spot on to the extent that I cannot do better AF with MF and magnified view.

Finally I got it, it was the Face detection that was causing all these issues. Turn the FD off, AF locks with little hunting in low light(It is so low that I cannot frame the object through my A900 OVF), AF locks in backlit faces, I tried to turn the AF light off, no effect, it locks just fine. I turned the FD on, it started hunting again. Hunting means it racks the lens full length 2-3 times before it locks or just give up w/o locking.

I am not sure if this is normal in other A7R or if my unit is faulty. Forum members can confirm.

I am with v 1.02 and FE 55 lens.
"

So, any answer or solution?

Unless Sony comes out with a new model that combines the best features of all three of these cameras, it doesn't bother me that my a7r shoots fewer fps and has a little slower focus speed. I bought the camera for just what it does, and it does what I want beautifully.

Sony is a consumer electronics company and as such is used to cranking new models often, and consumer products have little resale value, so be ready to see new refresh of the A7r next year :-).
The A75 is for videographers thus announcement is at NAB. 12 megapixel and 4K video capable.
I will charge this experience and not worry about new features on follow on product or resale value as long as I find the camera useful for light street and travel photography. Having said that, let us look at the old product lines, will you buy a Nex7 or a Nex5 or even the Nex6? Probably, the Nex7 still??
I will forget Sony for a year or so and look forward to the next Canon full frame announcement.

True, so i don't care how many models Sony will fill the market, i have to choose what is right for me or the one i want to use for a purpose, i bought A7r simply to have higher mp, the only one i saw before this is Nikon D800/E, i can go with 24 cameras but this will not give me any satisfaction much over my already 21 1Ds3 or even my 18mp 1DX, even 6D has 20mp, so 4mp more will not impress me, but a camera that is over 30mp is something to think about regardless of those who don't want more than 20mp.

Now Sony will produce a camera for 4K, congratulations to them, i am not a videographer, they will have a camera for faster fps, this is great for me as i am a sports shooter, but then what lens i can use for fast AF on those sports?

The world now became crazy with all those technology in everything, even my kids wants to have new mobile every year, they got this bug from me as i want a camera or a lens every year, so do you blame Sony or any manufacturers releasing new models every 2-5 months? I don't surprise at all if Nikon/Canon both will release 6 cameras models at once in one month, so just wait and see.

First photo for this page  Taken with the FE 55 @f5 (really wish I would have bumped up the f-stop to 12 or so ... still getting used to FF differences coming from a crop sensor)

From Wikipedia: At different times of the year the colour of the lake can range from cyan to indigo, in different spots at the same time. The colour of the water is derived from light scattering, caused by the precipitation of calcite (CaCO3).
