which one did you decide on?

I've thought about getting the DX version and just cropping it manually on my D600..

I've seen decent results for the 35mm 1.8 FX version, but everywhere it's backordered...

I was leaning towards buying a used Sigma 35mm 1.4

I'm keeping the FX version but I've got my eye on a used Sigma too. I'm not going to hold my breath though, I'm very satisfied with the FX!
The Sigma overall is the better lens, hands down without a doubt. The used cost of one brings it a lot closer to the FX 1.8 and therefore I think makes it the lens to buy. The DX is good, but the FX version is better by a good bit. I like being able to shoot and not have anything to do in post.
Nikon has a lot of good option in the 35mm lens now and makes it for a tough decision if you were buying new! All depends on what you want and how much you can spend. The DX is good, the F2 is good too!

It's unbelievable right now the D600 second hand is less than the D700! As fond as I am of my ex D700, the D600 is VERY good!
