Backlit blue heron fishing

Finally, a decent day to take pictures after a looong winter.
Found this blue heron fishing, backlight was a blessing and a curse at the same time.
I'm not 100% happy with the quality, especially the colors due to the muddy waters, but the action was pretty good.

70D, Sigma 120-300 2.8 OS, 2x TC; when the bird came close I could have used the 1.4x but I didn't want to startle it by messing with my equipment.

Absolutely amazing set of images! The close-up head shot is my favorite, but they are all really well done.
