"L" when trying to change aperture

while on a shoot yesterday, no matter what setting i used, M, or AV, or Tv, every time i tried to change the APP form what the camera chose, wile looking in the view finder the AP would go away and the letter "L" would appear, has anyone else had an issue with the Canon 5D mark 3. I'm worried that the camera may be broke or something

nevermind guys, i just saw that i had the wheel switch "LOCK" in the locked position. omg!!!

Take the "LOCK" off and try again :lol:

To add while you are in TV you cant change the Aperture , well at least not on any Body that I have , If I am understanding you correctly on what you were trying to do .
